How to Give Yourself a Brazilian Wax

Like having a hair-free bikini area but don't want to spend 50+ dollars? A little uncomfortable with the idea of letting a stranger near your bikini area, yet you still want the hair removed? No problem! $10 and a mirror are all you need.

Steps
  • Buy a good sugaring wax. A waxing product such as Nair Roll-On Wax is a good choice because it has a roll-on applicator that dispenses an even amount of wax over the surface.
  • Cut the waxing strips into smaller, quarter inch strips.
Clean the bikini area to remove any residue that may be on the hair.
  • Have a damp towel or napkin handy to wipe up any wax that may get on your hands.
  • Place a mirror between your legs so that you can wax the areas you cannot see. A compact mirror is sufficient.
  • Begin with the top most accessible areas and work your way down towards your anus. Do not apply too much wax as the waxing strips may not adhere to the hair. Follow the manufacturer's directions when it comes to applying wax and removing hair.
  • Hair in some areas may be easier to remove than others. This is contingent upon how thick the hairs are. You may have to stop if the area becomes too red, and continue after the redness subsides.
  • Keep working until most of the hair is removed, or until you are satisfied with the results. Because the bikini area is very sensitive, do not continue if it becomes too painful. Just shave off the rest with a razor.

Tips

  • If it is your first time giving yourself a Brazilian wax, do not expect all the hair to come off. You are, after all, not getting it professionally done and therefore you will not end up with professional results right away. With more treatments, the hairs will become thinner and more sparse, thus making it easier to get cleaner and cleaner results.
  • Because the hairs are thicker, removing them may cause some bleeding. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol to avoid infection.

Warnings

  • Test the temperature of the wax before you apply it to your bikini area!
  • Make sure you thoroughly clean the strips after each use.
  • Do not wax your hairs if they are longer than a quarter inch in length. That will cause unnecessary pain, and will most likely prevent hair removal. Trim them shorter prior to applying any wax.

How to Get Rid of Unwanted Facial Hair on Chin and Upper Lip

Removal of unwanted facial hair. There are several different options, depending on the amount of hair and the color.

Steps

  • Wax at home or in a salon. At home kits can be tricky. Salon waxing can be pricey. It can be very painful and lead to swelling and redness.
  • Do not shave. While it seems like a fast fix it is not. Once your facial hair grows back it'll be much more noticable and stubly.
  • Consider laser hair removal but do your research first as most 'advice' comes direct from laser hair removal salons!
  • Undergo electrolysis. This costly, but permanent and effective method is one of the better ways to go, if you can afford it.
  • Use hair buffers and deterrents. These can be helpful, but some are harsh on skin, leaving rashes.

Tips

  • Consult a salon that does hair removal to discuss with them what your best options would be.

Warnings

  • Be careful of certain products for hair removal. Many can not be used on the face.
  • Others intended for the face can still be rough and cause skin irritation.

cellulite no more..

Reducing the cellulite is easy, but it does take some time and patience. Stick with it!

Things You'll Need:-
  • stiff-bristle brush
  • Castor Oil
  • old pyjamas that you don't care about anymore
  • filtered water

  • Step One

Start drinking a lot of water - I mean a lot! At least 10 8oz glasses of filtered water daily. If we're going to get rid of that cellulite and the toxins stored in it we need to give your body a way to push it out.

  • Step Two

Skin brush every time you get in the shower. Vigorously brush your skin over the areas with cellulite for at least 5 minutes per area (so 5 minutes per thigh) every time you get in the shower. Brushing should be hard enough to make the skin pink, but not to hurt or leave scratches. This helps to bring blood flow to the area and allows your body to reintroduce circulation to places it's been neglecting.

  • Step Three

Once a week put a generous layer of castor oil on the skin over the parts you are working on, put the old PJs on that you don't care about and go to sleep like that. This helps to increase your lymphatic drainage and get rid of trapped toxins!

  • Step Four

Exercise at least 15 minutes a day - enough to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing, even if it's just 15 minutes.

Simple steps to more beautiful feet all year round

Many of people say they spend between 5 and 10 hours a day on their feet, so it's hardly surprising that sometimes feet look a little worse for wear. And if you've spent the summer wearing open-toed sandals or high-heeled mules, you may find the skin on your feet even more dry and rough than usual.

As the summer draws to a close, it will soon be time to ease your feet back into shoes, but even though your feet may no longer be on display every day, there's no excuse to neglect them.
